Beachwood Smiles

Beachwood Smiles Dental Technology

Serving the Shaker Heights area, Dr. Yovi Taub has introduced the latest technology to enhance the dentistry we provide and make your experience as enjoyable as possible.

Improved accuracy and precision result in less overall time spent in the dental chair. While you are with us, it’s also important that you enjoy the little comforts that make your experience at Beachwood Smiles a memorable one.

Laser Dentistry

Dr. Taub utilizes a soft tissue laser to perform periodontal surgeries faster and more comfortably for our patients.

  • Treatment of periodontal disease
  • Crown lengthening
  • Gingival sculpting
  • Prep for restorations
  • Reduces healing time for cold and canker sores

Lasers eliminate the need for cutting and stitches, which results in faster treatment times and less discomfort during and after treatment.

Digital Impressions

Gooey impression paste can be uncomfortable and is easily distorted, which can have a negative impact on your crown, bridge, or veneer work.

Our 3M true definition scanner captures a digital impression of the tooth to use in the creation of custom dental restorations and when planning orthodontics using ClearCorrect or Six Month Smiles.

Life is busy, and sometimes taking a break from your hectic day to enjoy a favorite program or movie can seem like a luxury. Sit back, relax, and watch something interesting to pass the time while we look after your smile.

High-Powered Loupes

To see details of the tooth and gum structure more clearly, Dr. Taub uses high-powered loupes – magnification glasses – to ensure the highest precision in your dental care.

Loupes assist with identifying conditions in the earliest stages when they are less invasive and costly to treat. Since dental restorations are like tiny sculptures, high magnification improves your outcome.

Nitrous Oxide

Dental anxiety can keep you away from the dental chair, and this can result in advanced dental conditions. Nitrous oxide, a safe gas delivered through a small nose mask, is a mild sedative that takes the edge off of treatment.

Because nitrous oxide leaves the system quickly, so you can go back to work or running errands immediately following treatment.

Digital Dental X-Rays

It is impossible to see what’s happening beneath the enamel and between the teeth, which is why digital dental x-rays are used in the diagnosis of dental decay, observation of bone levels, and surgical planning.

Your safety is important to us. Digital dental x-rays are not only the sharpest pictures available in dentistry, but they also emit up to 80 percent less radiation than film radiography.

In-Office WiFi

Getting away from work for your dental appointments can be difficult. We keep you connected with WiFi access to get important emails or just to check in at Beachwood Smiles on Facebook before your appointment.

Intraoral Camera

We believe that education affords our patients opportunities to make the best decisions for the future of their smiles. Rather than having to rely on a description of their condition, patients are now able to see with their own eyes exactly what Dr. Taub sees when he looks inside your mouth.

This is accomplished using an intraoral camera, a small handheld camera capable of taking high-resolution pictures inside the mouth for display on treatment room monitors.
